"Knowing yourself means knowing the Dreaming from which problems and symptoms arise. In that world, there is less pressure from human or social behaviour; you are closer to nature, to existence as it is."

Arnold Mindell.

"When a person rediscovers that his deepest nature is one with All, he is relieved of the burden of time, of worry; he is released from the chains of alienation and separate-self existence. Seeing that the self and other are one, he is relieved from the fear of life..."

Ken Wilber.

Psychotherapists, Body Therapists & Group Workers

As supervisors, we help the therapist or group leader to go more deeply into her personal style, and from that perspective help her to unravel the problems with her clients or groups. We do not impose programmes or ways of working that are not suited to the professional's or carer's personality and style of their training. In supervision we follow the process that is trying to emerge within both the therapist's and/or the client's issues.

We are using the term "supervision" to mean getting help with understanding the process of the client. The term "case control" has the same meaning in certain countries. Below we have listed a few examples of issues that one can expect help with.

In supervision we may focus on:

The personal limitations of the professional around certain issues

The field between the therapist/counsellor and the client

Methods of working with power and rank issues

Transference, countertransference and dreaming-up

Dream figures, roles, ghosts roles and edges in counselling and therapy

Methods of solving problems from the perspective of the client's process

techniques of working with couples and groups

Discovering how the client is there own healer

Tools for resolving insoluble problems

Working with momentary body signals, short and long term processes.

Methods of working with dreams and perceiving dreams happening in the moment

Intervening in altered and extreme states of consciousness

Working with communication channels and amplification

Role switching and role reversal

Fluidity in conflict prevention and conflict resolution

Many body and movement therapists have questions and problems concerning relationship and psychological problems that come up with their clients. Body therapists often feel problems emerging through touch, through strange feelings within their own bodies, or through the atmosphere when working. Or they have clients who report situations and experiences that they cannot understand and need help with.

Movement and dance therapists often report of things they feel unable to handle, such as relationship and conflict situations, or dream figures come up in movement that are chaotic or "dangerous". Group facilitators and leaders may need help with momentary fluidity and how to deal with being attacked or criticised.
